Mera Peak and Island peak climbing expedition offers the climb of two popular trekking peaks in the Himalayas. Climbing the twin peaks of Mera and Island in Nepal coupled with crossing the high striking and challenging Amphu Lapcha pass makes this expedition a very unique and challenging one. This is ultimately the most satisfying and demanding trekking with twin trekking peaks climbing experience in Nepal. We have professionally planned this expedition itinerary to allow every trekker to have proper acclimatization, resulting in the summit of these two trekking peaks over 6000 meters. This is an inspiring climb which is also definitely an achievable goal. Besides the trek also takes you through the remote valleys of Hinku and Imja Tse in the Everest region. Do not miss out on this wonderful opportunity to have a lifetime experience in the Himalayas with breath-taking experiences.

From the Amphu Lapcha pass, you can immediately see towards the Island peak base camp and high camp, and locate the route up to the summit of Island Peak 6,189m/ 20,305ft. Island peak is a more technical climb which is highly underestimated. You need to come prepared for this climb.

The fantastic vista from the summit of Mera peak, includes views of Mount Kanchenjunga, Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Cho Oyu. From the summit, we will descend into the beautiful Hongu Valley where we will then cross the Amphu Lapcha pass and into the Imja Valley which is a serious mountaineering day. From the top, you will get your first view of Island Peak. The view of the Amphu Lapcha pass is incredible and worth the effort.

From the summit of Island Peak, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the Himalayas with Makalu, Ama Dablam and Lhotse being some of the highlights. After the tough ascent of Island Peak, we will descend to the main Everest trail where the much-welcomed tea houses, beds, showers and will be a stark contrast from our time in the remote wilderness! This is one of our favorite Himalayan challenges, you won’t be disappointed.
